He would remain awake till morning. He was set on reciting Du’a Sahar with the members of his family, and before the month of Ramadhan, he would seek permission from his neighbours to wake them up before dawn if they sleep in. In one of his tafsir classes, he said that, ‘Throughout my entire life, I cannot remember ever sleeping during the nights of the month of Ramadhan’.
