The Operation “Muslim Ibn Aqeel” was about to start in a few days. Haji had come home a few days before it. He was muddy and tired as usual. It was winter, and because to his sinuses, he had a severe headache. When he came home, he got ready for prayers. I told him, “What if you take a shower first, have some food and after you freshen up, you can go pray.” He looked at me and said, “I took all the pains to get home to pray right on time, and you are asking me to first have food?”
I still remember how bad his condition was, with the headache he had. I stood beside him while he was praying so in case he fell, I could catch him.
It was so inspiring for me to see that even whilst not feeling well and having a severe headache, he did not want to miss praying on time.
This was a story from the life of Shahid Ibrahim Hemmat. A young and active youth who gave his all for Allah’s sake, and left this world as a shahid.
