A month of Self-Vigilance

The month of Ramadhan is the month of worship and sincere servitude, and a month of controlling all of one’s body parts from matters disliked by Allah. It is a month wherein one must await the night of Qadr and await receiving the good news of the results of our actions and righteous, flawless deeds, as “the night of Qadr is better than a thousand months” [97:3].

At the end of the month, benefitting from the day of Eid al-Fitr for those who maintain absolute vigilance over themselves, means nothing except seeing the Beloved Himself.
