Remember God and Thank Him

Allah the Almighty has invited you in the Holy Month of Ramadhan to His own banquet. As you are all well-aware, the banquet of Allah is fasting. Unlike other banquets, this is not accompanied with worldly ceremonies and formalities. This banquet is to keep a person away from lustful actions. Be attentive to act in the Holy month of Ramadhan according to its etiquettes, particularly the spiritual etiquettes. Do not suffice with just reciting supplications; you should supplicate in its true sense, calling out to Allah and remembering Him in its true sense – a remembrance that grants peace to the hearts, in the way that the Qur’an says, “in the remembrance of Allah do the hearts find rest” (13:28). True remembrance of Allah and finding him present everywhere. Remember and thank Allah in the Holy month of Ramadhan for all of the mercies and blessings that He has favoured you with.
